Cardiff University School of Dentistry is Wales's only dental school and one of the UK's leading centres for dental education and research. It is situated within the University Hospital of Wales, providing direct integration with one of the UK's largest NHS teaching hospitals. The school offers a highly regarded BDS programme delivered through an integrated curriculum that combines biomedical sciences with early and progressive clinical training. Cardiff dentists are known for their comprehensive clinical skills and strong academic foundation. Cardiff Dental School was founded in 1947 as the Welsh National School of Medicine's dental department. It became part of Cardiff University in 2004 following university merger.
