King's College London Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences is consistently ranked as the UK's top dental school. Located in central London at Guy's Hospital, it combines world-class research with outstanding clinical training. Students benefit from one of the busiest teaching dental hospitals in Europe, treating over 100,000 patients annually. The faculty is home to internationally recognised researchers and clinicians across all dental specialties. With strong links to King's Health Partners and the NHS, graduates are exceptionally well-prepared for both specialist and general dental practice. KCL's dental programmes are fully accredited by the General Dental Council and regularly achieve top marks in national student satisfaction surveys.
The dental school traces its roots to the Dental School at Guy's Hospital, established in 1888 — one of the oldest in England. It merged with King's College London in 1982 and has since grown into the UK's foremost dental research and training institution.
GDC-approved since 1921. Regular quality assurance visits confirm the programme meets GDC Standards for Education. Also recognised by dental councils in Australia, Canada, and the EU.
