Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London has a distinguished history of dental education dating back to 1911. Situated in Whitechapel, East London, the school serves one of the most ethnically and socioeconomically diverse patient populations in the UK, giving students unparalleled breadth of clinical experience. The dental school is renowned for its research excellence and strong NHS integration. Students receive training at the Royal London Dental Hospital, one of the country's largest dental teaching hospitals. The dental school was founded as part of The London Hospital Medical College in 1911. It merged with Queen Mary University of London in 1995 and has since expanded significantly in research output and clinical capacity.
